Where can I find resources to learn medical billing

Medical billing is taught in many classrooms
Finding the proper medical billing training resources is important to be able to meet all of your career goals. Training opportunities include:

  • Vocational and college classes
  • Online training
  • Apprenticeship training

In many cases a combination of all three methods are used to maximize the results. This makes a potential candidate more well rounded for an employer.

Plan to spend a minimum of one school year (9 months) being trained in medical billing. Some programs are up to two years in length. Cost of training varies by provider, but will range from several hundred to several thousand dollars. Like anything else the more training you have the more marketable you will be and the easier it will be to find a job.
